A team of B&M Waste staff took part in the Wirral Coastal Walk, to raise funds for local charity Stick ‘n’ Step. B&M were proud to once again be headline sponsors of the event, providing each Stick ‘’n’ Step walker with a t-shirt and further supporting the charity.
Stick ‘n’ Step was formed in 2002 by a group of parents of children and young people who have cerebral palsy. Stick ‘n’ Step was established to provide free conductive education sessions to children and young people from across North West England and North Wales. The organisation is completely independent and receives all of its funding from the generosity of local people, communities, businesses and grant making trusts.
The B&M team joined over 150 other walkers raising money for Stick ‘n’ Step to take on the 15 mile walk from Seacombe Ferry to Wirral Country Park, Thurstaston. The team raised a fantastic total of £1040 to donate towards funding the fantastic care that the charity provide.
Joining the team on the day was B&M Director, Paul Curtis, and his family. Paul said: “The Wirral Coastal walk is a great way to raise funds for Stick ‘n’ Step and I am delighted that B&M once again were headline sponsors and had a team taking part on the day. Thank you to all that donated online to help us reach our target!”
