cJAM: Humanities is an exciting showcase event which enables our talented students in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences to meet face-to-face with senior industry professionals, to share ideas, make connections and pitch for opportunities.
This is a full-day event and we would be delighted if you would consider joining us – it presents a great opportunity for people in the profession to meet the talent of the future.
The event includes:
- Networking breakfast
- Guest speakers
- Industry Q&A panel
- Networking lunch
- Speed pitching
- Awarding of placements
As an industry guest, you will play an integral role in the event. For the two-hour speed pitching session, where you will get to meet 1:1 with up to twelve students, we ask that you come with the offer of at least one work placement, ideally lasting one week. Alternatively, a one-day shadowing opportunity will also be fantastic. At the event, you get to judge the student pitches and award your placement(s) to the student(s) who impresses you the most.
With humanities graduates appealing to a broad range of sectors, it is so important that our students see where their skills can take them and get a taste of the best career opportunities open to them. Through accepting our invitation, you will help enormously in achieving this.
