Sub36 Awards finalists revealed

The final shortlist of this year’s Sub36 Awards has been unveiled.

The final shortlist of this year’s Sub36 Awards has been unveiled, naming the leaders and difference-makers in the running for a much sought after prize package.

The Sub36 Awards, which culminates in a colourful prize-giving ceremony at Blackpool’s Winter Gardens on October 17, honours the county’s most exciting business prospects aged Sub36.

From apprentices and trainees at the very beginnings of their careers through to entrepreneurs running their own organisations, the Sub36 Awards recognises achievements at every level.

And this year’s finalists spans a wide variety of industries and backgrounds, with candidates representing professional services, digital media, engineering, health and care and manufacturing.

Competition is fierce as winners receive access to a bespoke mentoring programme provided by Northern Mentoring Programme and a 12 month pass to high level coaching from Sales Geek via their academy.

The 48 individuals, nominated across 10 categories, now have one final chance to impress the panel of judges when they are interviewed at Red Rose Suite at Ewood Park in Blackburn later this month.

Stephanie Whitworth, marketing manager at headline sponsor Fat Media said: “There were so many wonderful stories brought to life through the Sub36 entries, they were a pleasure to read and competition is certainly fierce!

“These entries showed there is no shortage of initiative, compassion and drive amongst the young business and professional community in Lancashire. The finalists should be extremely proud of making it to the next round, and I wish them all the very best of luck for the interview stage.”

Jaydee Davis, operations manager at Northern Mentoring Programme, the Sub36 mentoring programme said: “It’s a privilege to be part of the shortlisting process for Sub36 Awards but one that makes for very tough decisions.

The talent, skills and entrepreneurship we have in Lancashire is outstanding and this certainly created a challenge for the shortlisting panel. We look forward to the next stage and meeting everyone on judging day.”

Richard Slater, publisher of Lancashire Business View and founder of the Sub36 Awards, said: “Once again, the calibre of entries to the Sub36 has impressed the whole team and judging panel. Sub36 continues to unearth fantastic stories from every corner of the red rose county and we are thrilled to be in the privileged position to share these stories to such a wide audience.

“We are offering an incredible prize package consisting on mentorship and advice to successful and experienced entrepreneurs, and from the strength of the shortlist it is clear that the winners will richly deserve these rewards and no doubt use the knowledge and support to achieve even greater things!”

The Sub36 Awards is organised by Lancashire Business View and is part of a series of events and magazine features. Tickets for the awards are now on sale for just £55+VAT.

Headline sponsors of the awards are Fat Media and the mentoring partner is Northern Mentoring Programme. The awards is also sponsored by Begbies Traynor, Blackburn College, Lancashire Skills and Employment Hub, PDS Engineering, Pennine Wealth Solutions, Printing.com Lancaster, Sales Geek, Tailor Made Sourcing, The Rovers Events, True Bearing Chartered Financial Planners and Winter Gardens Blackpool.
