Carringtons Catering is celebrating 16 years of success under directors Helen and Darren Wynn as they mark their business anniversary with an eclectic calendar of events and contract wins.
The husband and wife duo took over the helm in 2003 and have since transformed the business into a leading provider of food and hospitality within the North West region with the help of its now 60-strong team.
This summer has seen the caterers win a number of competitive pitches for the likes of large-scale corporate dinners through to unique weddings. The business has also added a duo of new venues to its varied portfolio in the last few months in a bid to remain at the forefront of innovation in its sector.
Helen said: “Since Darren and I took over as directors, we have dedicated so much of our personal and professional lives toward enhancing the business and evolving our offer to become a pioneer within the food catering sector. As part of this, we have built a skilled and passionate team that share our ethos and passion when it comes to the future of hospitality within the region. It’s a highly competitive industry, particularly as Liverpool’s reputation grows and we see bigger competitors coming into the picture, but we’re proud to be an independent business and it’s our long-standing reputation and unparalleled service that sets us apart.
“As directors of the company we’re incredibly proud of our team. Our ever-increasing calendar of events always requires them be on the top of their game, which is why we invest a lot into training and offer incentives and rewards for outstanding individuals. As a testament to Carringtons Catering’s experience, knowledge, and reputation as a leading caterer, the firm has recently been shortlisted in the prestigious Foodservice Cateys in the ‘Event Caterer of Year’ category as well as being named ‘Wedding Caterer of the Year’ for the region at the English Wedding Awards 2018.
Helen added: “As an award-winning caterer, business has been thriving and we’ve been lucky enough to work with some fantastic clients who trust in us to use our culinary skills and creative freedom to deliver food that is wonderfully unique and exceeds every aspect of their brief, from a Harry Potter themed wedding to the Chemical Industry Awards. To add to our existing roster of high-profile events, we also catered for an event at The Hive in Wirral when the Duke and Duchess of Sussex visited Merseyside earlier this year.
