Europe’s biggest festival of advanced manufacturing returns to Liverpool City Region for a third year in 2019.
Digital Manufacturing Week will welcome 6,000 industry leaders and high-growth manufacturers from across Europe to Liverpool City Region for the industry’s annual gathering.
The biggest manufacturers in the world, including Siemens, Dell, HP, Bosch and Hitachi will be exhibiting and sharing their success stories at Exhibition Centre Liverpool for the 3-day conference.
Integrating dozens of manufacturing events and hundreds of talks, panels and debates, Digital Manufacturing Week brings together Europe’s most innovative companies to keep pace with new trends in digital transformation.
Steve Rotheram, Metro Mayor of the Liverpool City Region, said: “Our city region was the gateway to the first industrial revolution and is leading the way on the fourth industrial revolution, so it is entirely fitting that we should welcome the world’s leading digital manufacturers for this prestigious festival. We are already home to some of the world’s leading advanced manufacturers and bringing together such a wealth of innovative companies for this event can only help to speed the pace of development in this vital sector.”
Dr Joanne Phoenix, interim executive director at Sensor City, added: “It’s fantastic to see an increasing number of companies wanting to embrace Industry 4.0, however we are repeatedly hearing about the challenges and barriers to digital innovation that manufacturers are facing. Smart Factory Expo provides an ideal forum for the manufacturing community to come together and learn from one another, and we’re delighted to be a Partner in this international event once again.”
James Smith, Digital Manufacturing Week event director, commented: “Returning to Liverpool for our flagship event is a highlight of the year. It makes perfect sense for us to bring together the best of the UK industry in a region that’s at the heart of the digital manufacturing revolution. Liverpool and the North West boast the people, skills and innovative organisations that make it a natural fit for Smart Factory Expo.”
Digital Manufacturing Week will be at the Exhibition Centre, Liverpool from 12 – 15 November 2019. https://digital-manufacturing-week.com/
