A ‘dream team’ of celebrity chefs from the North’s finest including: Oli Martin, Hipping Hall; Ellis Barrie, Marram Grass; Adam Reid at The French; Simon Shaw, El Gato Negro and Tom Parker, White Swan at Fence cooked up a storm for a fundraising dinner at Liverpool’s Hilton Hotel last night in aid of industry charity Hospitality Action raising a record £30,000.
The evening was hosted by chef Paul Askew, Fellow and Chairman in the North of England for the Royal Academy of Culinary Arts and Chef Patron of the multi award winning Art School Restaurant. A host of sommeliers from the region including Sarah Donoher, Head Sommelier at The Art School Restaurant in Liverpool and Filippo Zito, Deputy Manager and Sommelier at Tast shared their knowledge about the wines paired and donated by Enotria & Coe, Liberty Wines, Matthew Clark and Halewood Wines.
The guests were treated to a Champagne reception, 5 course award winning menu, live feeds and interviews with the chefs from the kitchen throughout the evening. The guests battled it out at the silent and live auctions on the night, many left winners of a prize draw prize from exclusive overnight hotel stays to chef’s private experiences, prizes you will not be able to bag anywhere else.
