The International Federation of Air Line Pilots Associations (IFALPA), the global voice of pilots, has announced that they will hold their 2021 conference in Manchester.
The British Airline Pilots Association (BALPA) began working almost two years ago to bring the event to Manchester, and after a competitive selection process selected Manchester Central as chosen as the venue for 2021!
The IFALPA general assembly will bring together five hundred global advocates from across the airline pilot community, to discuss current developments and recommend policies to promote aviation safety.
The international association is a not-for-profit organisation, representing over 100,000 pilots across almost 100 countries. The IFALPA’s mission is to promote the highest level of aviation safety worldwide and to be global advocates of the piloting profession; providing representation, services, and support to members and the wider aviation industry.
Shaun Hinds, CEO of Manchester Central, said:
“We’re absolutely delighted to be welcoming the IFALPA to Manchester Central. The venue team has a wealth of experience in working with international associations and has developed a great relationship with the IFALPA working collaboratively to understand their aims and meet their event requirements.
“The venue’s commitment to providing a quality offer means that leading international associations like the IFALPA are choosing to bring their event to the venue and we look forward to welcoming them next year!”
