Future of Transport

Liverpool John Moores University and Clean Growth UK are hosting “The Future of Transport” series as part of the wider “Future of” national event programme to help drive the green economy.

About the event
Ten years ago, the idea that we might navigate our streets in helicopter taxis seemed the stuff of science fiction. The world’s first ‘fly and drive car’ made its US debut on Tuesday night in Miami, Florida. What other emerging technologies in the field of transportation are likely to become commonplace in five years? How about in 25 years? How will this drive our transition to a low carbon economy?

Liverpool John Moores University and Clean Growth UK are hosting “The Future of Transport” series as part of the wider “Future of” national event programme to help drive the green economy.

The transport sector accounts for 20% of the world’s CO2 emissions and is a major contributor to the current climate crisis. Transport is essential for economic growth and is showing no signs of slowing down – but we can’t continue “business as usual”. Therefore – how do we get to where we need to go in a cleaner way?

Join us to discover current and future innovative technologies and learn what a low carbon future might look like.

We are excited to reveal our speaker line up which includes presentations from Tesla and HYPED, a student society at the University of Edinburgh dedicated to accelerating the development of Hyperloop and implementing the technology in the UK.
