Safer Travel with National Express

All through lockdown, National Express West Midlands has been safely carrying hundreds of thousands of passengers every week, getting key workers to where they need to be. And now we are doing everything we can to help our customers return to the new normal.

As more people return to work, we are increasing our services – making hundreds of thousands more seats available so there is plenty of space for everyone to practise safe social distancing.

Of course, cleaning is incredibly important right now. Since the pandemic started, we’ve been carrying out an enhanced cleaning regime on all our buses, paying special attention to shared surfaces. We have also invested in aerosol “fogging” machines which we use every night to deep clean the buses and disinfect the hard-to-reach areas with a high-performance antiviral solution.

And you’ll have seen the latest government regulations that mean people travelling on public transport have to wear face coverings to keep themselves and other people safe.

We’re also making it really easy for people to buy their tickets before they get on the bus, removing one more ‘touchpoint’ on board. We are building portals tailored to the businesses we are currently partnered, providing flexible tickets to suit every need.

If you are returning to public transport, we are here if you need us to help you make those required journeys. We are also here to help if you think a dedicated portal will help your businesses employees get to work safely – just email Patrick.bevan@nationalexpress.com

And if you are starting to think about shuttle services to bring your people safely back into work, or move them around between sites, our sister company [NX Solutions] is ready with Covid-10 safety-compliant coach travel solutions operating across the UK.

We are all very much looking forward to welcoming you back on board our buses and coaches. In the meantime, stay safe.
