Alpha Works continues to lift community from afar

The COVID-19 pandemic has been the wildcard of the year, affecting businesses across all sectors. However, despite the distance, flexible office space Alpha Works, has ensured that the bond with its steadfast members has been stronger than ever.

The COVID-19 pandemic has been the wildcard of the year, affecting businesses across all sectors. However, despite the distance, flexible office space Alpha Works, has ensured that the bond with its steadfast members has been stronger than ever.

Located in Alpha Tower, Birmingham’s tallest office building – with the entire Birmingham vista in its sights – Alpha Works has taken every step to ensure that its business community has not been left at a loose end over the last few months.

From remote working tips and motivational podcast recommendations to advice on rent deferrals, licence adjustments and securing grants, the team has refused to let the pandemic stand in its way when it comes to helping its members.

One of the companies that have benefitted from Alpha Works’ support is Entec Si. David Fisher, business support manager at the business change consultancy, said: “We have been very impressed with the service provided by Alpha Works throughout this difficult and challenging time. They have been very proactive, and their help and support has been invaluable to our company.”

Chris Clibbery, CEO of vehicle movement company, Engineius, has also appreciated the help offered by Alpha Works: “From day one, Alex and the Alpha team have been on hand to support our business both practically and commercially as we continued to operate during lockdown. From the proactive outreach to the business, to the ongoing communication and the practicalities of the office environment, Alpha have worked hard to ensure we could operate as effectively as possible and support our plans to get the team safely back to work.”

Alpha Works recognise that behind every brilliant business is a hardworking team, which is why they prioritise wellbeing. For the time being, yoga classes continue to take place on Zoom, friendly chats over the coffee machine have been temporarily relocated to WhatsApp and weekly newsletters keep the community up to date.

For many members, it is this attention to detail and personal touch that sets Alpha Works above its competitors. Alia Al-Doori, managing director of PR agency, Pearl Comms, said: “From providing light relief and keeping us informed about the office space, to going above and beyond to help ensure that we all have businesses at the end of this – it takes a team that really cares about its members to keep up this level of support.”

David Viles, chief commercial officer at Roamler, a crowd-sourced solutions business, added: “The team showed tremendous support during this challenging period. We are looking forward to returning to the offices in due course.”
