Communities across Brum sound the siren for #SIFASunday

Birmingham Neighbours have joined forces to start a community led campaign to support leading homeless charity SIFA Fireside.

Birmingham Neighbours have joined forces to start a community led campaign to support leading homeless charity SIFA Fireside.

With the cancellation of the Great Birmingham Run, our community supporters found the perfect way to promote positive mental health and wellbeing with their #SIFASunday initiative.

On Sunday 11th October, individuals from Birmingham and beyond will be taking part in a range of #SIFASunday activities, from running, cycling and other personal challenges. All funds raised will go directly to the charity.

SIFA Fireside Fundraising Manager, Melissa Roche, said: “We were touched by the offer of support from Birmingham Neighbours. With the cancellation of the Great Birmingham Run, they were determined to find a way to ensure that we didn’t lose out on any vital fundraising opportunities.

“By replacing the cancelled event with #SIFASunday, communities in Birmingham now have a new fun way to keep active and to safely engage with other members of their roads, streets and communities – all to help raise funds to support our fantastic charity.”

All are encouraged to join the fun and run their own activity for #SIFASunday. To find out more, get involved or donate, visit the Birmingham Neighbours Just Giving Page: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/sifasunday
