Three Birmingham charities are set to benefit from a Christmas donation as a team of 26 lace up their running shoes for a good cause this December.

Digbeth-based content marketing specialist, HDY Agency, has swapped client Christmas presents and a winter office party for exercise and fresh air to raise money for Let’s Feed Brum, Birmingham & Solihull Women’s Aid and Mind Birmingham.

The agency’s Step into Christmas campaign will see its diverse team of creative experts tracking their walks, runs and fitness classes through stepometers or smart devices. HDY has committed to donating a pound for every mile walked by each team member between Monday 14th December – Thursday 31st December. As well as donating a pound per mile, HDY is encouraging its portfolio of clients to sponsor the team as they powerwalk their way to their fundraising goal.

Angel Gaskell, HDY co-founder, said: “Christmas is a time for giving and looking after each other. In a year of uncertainty and change, we felt that it was our duty to give back to some of the wonderful charities in Birmingham while also encouraging our hard working team to get outside and take a moment for themselves.

“The fundraising idea was an entire agency decision. We asked our team what they’d like to do to celebrate Christmas and ring in the new year in regards to gifts and a virtual party, and we were overwhelmed that everyone wanted to support local charities to mark the occasion.”

HDY Agency was co-founded by Heart FM broadcaster Ed James and accomplished marketeer Angel Gaskell in 2018. The content marketing agency specialises in developing creative campaigns, amplifying social moments, crafting killer strategies and making stand-out content.
