BXB Land Solutions, the national regeneration specialist headquartered in Liverpool, has joined Downtown in Business.
The company, which de-risks brownfield land and delivers it to the market ready for development, has live schemes in St Helens, Blackburn, Preston, Durham and Fleetwood with a capacity to deliver more than 1,800 new homes.
“People say ‘they’re not making any more land’ but in effect, we do. By deploying our in-house technical skills we can repurpose redundant land assets ready for development,” explains BXB directory Gary Goodman.
“We have a 100 per cent success rate in securing planning permission, regardless of whether it’s for residential, mixed-use or commercial schemes. We either work in partnership with existing land-owners or purchase their land assets to generate cash for their own businesses.”
Goodman says that the ability to respond quickly to enquiries and control delivery of a site through to planning committee are key attributes.
“Because we have the technical, planning, funding and commercial skills in-house we can move quickly and decisively. We understand what house-builders and commercial developers need, both in terms of land condition but also planning permissions.”
The company is currently taking 220 acres of brownfield land through the planning system which, in addition to new housing, will deliver 172,000 square feet of new commercial space.
Major projects include the regeneration of the former Cottam Brickworks in Preston, currently seeking planning permission for its second major phase, and the redevelopment of a former glassworks at Cowley Hill in St. Helens in partnership with Liverpool-based Promenade Estates.
