Prolific PR, a media and communications agency in Liverpool has collaborated with Virgin Galactic and Under Armour to produce educational content to broadcast on Steam School, as part of their Fashion Futures season.

Steam School is an award-winning on-demand video and learning platform, accessible to school and families across the UK. Founded in 2018, learners join a live broadcast every week exploring topics in real world science, entrepreneurship, and futuristic technology.

Live from Spaceport America in New Mexico, Jameel Janjua – a member of the Virgin Galactic spaceship pilot corps – introduced students to the company’s mission to open space and make it more accessible to civilians. During the 30-minute broadcast, Jameel talked about his training, ambitions and answered questions from students live across the UK.

In another episode, the sustainability team at Under Armour – the American sports equipment company – joined to discuss product innovation and how the brand is working hard to protect the planet. Michael Levine, Under Armour’s Vice President of Sustainability answered questions about environmental impact, giving a motivational talk on what children can do to help the environment.

“Steam School has seen phenomenal growth over the last year and we’re proud to work with them to produce content that inspires the next generation of inventors, digital creatives and tech entrepreneurs by connecting them with the likes of Virgin Galactic and Under Armour!” says Prolific PR director Aron Evans.

Early next week, Steam School will be announcing the line-up for its upcoming ‘Metaverse’ season which will include major names from the world of virtual reality, gaming, and social media.
