Kate Bowyer is to become the new managing director of urban regeneration firm Muse Developments, its parent company Morgan Sindall Group plc announced on Thursday.
Kate, currently Muse Developments’ Finance Director, will take on the role from MD Matt Crompton, who is retiring, in April this year.
“This is an exciting time to be taking over the reins at Muse,” said Kate Bowyer who, before joining Muse, worked for The Crown Estate, intu Properties and PwC.
“This is a wonderful business. I look forward to being able to help deliver the kinds of long-term projects that really transform our city centres and improve the lives of communities for the better,” she added.
“Kate brings her own blend of strategy, precision and vision to Muse Developments and we look forward to seeing what she will achieve at Muse going forward,” said Morgan Sindall Group Chief Executive John Morgan.
“I’d like to thank Matt for more than three decades of success at Muse, with more than 15 of those years at the helm of the business. He leaves a portfolio of active developments and a strong pipeline of new business. We wish him an enjoyable and well-deserved retirement,” he added.
Matt Crompton said he would leave with great memories of his career at Muse Developments.
“I joined this fantastic business in 1989 as a Development Surveyor and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed working with some of the most talented individuals in the industry, creating wonderful place-changing communities with the backing of a market-leading construction and regeneration Group.”
Muse Developments made a strong contribution to a record set of Full Year 2021 Results for the Morgan Sindall Group, also announced on Thursday.
