Launch of The Danny’s Maritime Heritage, Maritime Futures Campaign

We’re thrilled to announce the launch of our Maritime Heritage, Maritime Futures – 20/20 Campaign, an initiative designed to connect communities through maritime conservation, education, and sustainable development. By preserving our rich maritime history, we aim to inspire the next generation while fostering community ties and highlighting future opportunities in the sector.

What is the 20/20 Campaign?

We’re inviting 20 local businesses to pledge £1,000 each, with the goal of raising £20,000 for the 2025 campaign. These funds will directly support our outreach to schools, sixth form students, and university groups, fostering connections to our maritime heritage and promoting future opportunities in the sector.  The campaign hopefully engages organisations that have similar goals and are looking at their CSR initiatives for 2025.

The Impact So Far:

Thanks to the generosity of supporters, The Danny has already made a tangible difference:

  • 210 young people have engaged in hands-on learning, gaining both skills and inspiration.
  • 330 children and families have participated in activity days, STEM events, and cruises, sparking curiosity and joy.
  • 1,500 older adults have deepened their knowledge through talks and community programs.
  • 30 open days have provided free tours, offering thousands the chance to explore and learn.
