Red Rock Unveils New Brand and Networking Initiative at Willow Wood Hospice to Raise Funds and Awareness for Their Mission

Last week, local telecom and IT provider Red Rock unveiled its new brand with a launch event at longtime partner and client Willow Wood Hospice in Tameside. The collaborative event aimed to raise awareness about both organisations while addressing common misconceptions surrounding hospice care. Serving as Red Rock’s first open networking event, the gathering also marked the launch of the ‘Keeping People Connected Network’, a new initiative designed to spotlight businesses and charities across the Greater Manchester region.

The event, organised by Branding & Marketing Growth Partner Emmanuel Okundaye and Partnership Development Lead Joanne Lees, brought together over 25 businesses to celebrate the unveiling of Red Rock’s rebrand. The evening highlighted Red Rock’s new service offerings

and its strengthened commitment to supporting customers and partners by fostering reliable communications to boost business productivity.

In partnership with Tameside Council, GM Business Growth Hub, and The Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce, the event featured guest speakers Dean Kleban, Kelly Gray, and David O’Hearns from Dawn, who shared insights into their partnerships with Red Rock and the Willow Wood Hospice. The Willow Wood team also spoke about their invaluable work within the community and the life-changing impact of their services on local residents.

The event proved a tremendous success, with the hospice raising significant funds and garnering support from attendees. Businesses that participated benefited greatly, with many expanding their networks and client portfolios — 87% of attendees reported securing valuable connections from the event. This collaboration between Red Rock and Willow Wood Hospice not only educated the community on new initiatives but also celebrated the power of partnerships between business and charity.

Red Rock’s Managing Director, Paul James, emphasised the company’s dedication to giving back, stating, “Charity is at the heart of our business and marks the start of our commitment to supporting charities beyond our day-to-day operations.” Looking ahead, Red Rock plans to expand its networking initiative with the second instalment of the ‘Keeping People Connected Network’, scheduled for early 2025 at another charity venues.

As part of its community efforts, Red Rock has also committed to improving internet and phone connectivity at Willow Wood Hospice, ensuring a more efficient workspace and better connections for patients and staff alike, with initial tests already completed.
