If you were thinking of heading down to Red Door on Berry Street this weekend, you will need to rethink your plans. Liverpool’s favourite bar suffered flooding overnight which has caused damage to the building.

The extent of the damage is not yet known as the owners await a health and safety report and assess the level of repairs required.  The team, who have been busy working on a sizeable new terrace with BBQ area to increase the alfresco offering with an all-weather party and

event space, which was due to launch in the next couple of weeks are keen to let their customers know the reason for this weekend’s enforced closure.

Matthew Laughton, Operations Director said “Our team are obviously disappointed with this interruption to our operation, but our primary concern is always for our loyal and supportive guests, their safety is our main focus.  We will endeavour to resolve this situation

as soon as possible with minimal disruption and we will also use this time to ensure that our pending new terrace looks fantastic when we are ready to resume business.  We will work around the clock if necessary to make sure we can reopen safely as soon as possible.”

The Red Door team  will keep customers updated via social media channels and look forward to announcing a re-opening date with the stunning and impressive new terrace as soon as it is safe to do so.
