Downtown in Business was joined by the team behind the Everton stadium development to over all the stages of the build process at Bramley Moore Dock, including how the initial concept of a new home for Everton is becoming a reality, touching on the hurdles the Club has overcome and the opportunities that lie ahead.

We were joined by Everton Stadium Development Director Colin Chong, Everton Stadium Development and Project Manager, Alix Craig, Everton Director of Communications, Richard Kenyon, Laing O’Rourke Project Leader, Gareth Jacques and Laing O’Rourke Project Technical Leader, John Edwards.

Malmaison Deansgate

We are delighted that Malmaison Deansgate are our ‘Venue of the Month’ for September 2025. Its guestrooms pay homage to the retro design of the 60s and 70s, referencing the iconic G Plan furniture of this era, a benchmark for classic British design. Each room talks to the exterior of the building design, complimenting the harsh, brutalist designs of the exterior with bold patterns, powerful colours, strong materiality, and striking artwork.
