Downtown in Business welcomed more than 200 of Liverpool’s leading business figures to the stunning Sefton Park Palm House for the 23rd annual City of Liverpool Business Awards.
Business leaders gathered on Tuesday 16th June 2026 to hear how Salford is cementing its position as one of the UK’s most dynamic and fastest-growing cities, with public and private sector leaders highlighting the scale of investment, regeneration and economic opportunity transforming the city.
More than 280 people gathered in the Pavilion Suite at Chester Racecourse for the Cheshire and North Wales Business Awards 2026, hosted by Downtown in Business.
The event brought together senior business leaders from across the city region for an engaging and insightful discussion on the ambitious regeneration of Stockport.

On Thursday 22nd January 2026 Downtown in Business hosted a Leaders Lunch with Rick Parry at Oddfellows Chester. This event offered a fascinating and insightful look into leadership at the highest levels of football.
Tuesday evening saw leaders from across the construction sector come together at the Liverpool Malmaison to hear from Liverpool City Region Mayor, Steve Rotheram, Leader of Liverpool City Council, Liam Robinson and Mindflow CEO, Trevor Steven on how the sector must work together to reduce suicide rates and improve mental health.
On Tuesday 20th January 2026, Downtown in Business was pleased to host the Powering the North: Devolution Lunch at Malmaison, Manchester, convening senior leaders from Lancashire, Cheshire and Greater Manchester for a focused and constructive roundtable discussion.
