Sedulo Director to Share Insights at DIB’s “The Highs and Lows of Building a Business” Event

Downtown in Business is excited to announce that Paul Cheetham, founder and director of The Sedulo Group, will be one of three award-winning entrepreneurs joining us at our exclusive lunch-time networking event titled “The Highs and Lows of Building a Business.” This event is scheduled for Thursday, 10th October 2024, from 12:00 PM to 2:30 PM. Business leaders from across Birmingham and beyond will gather for a dynamic discussion on the journey of entrepreneurship.

The event, hosted by Downtown Chief Executive Frank McKenna, will explore the rollercoaster ride of being a business owner, touching on the triumphs and challenges encountered along the way. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from three leading entrepreneurs who have successfully built multi-million-pound companies in the face of significant challenges.

Paul Cheetham is an accomplished accountant and the visionary behind The Sedulo Group, a mid-tier advisory firm that has grown from a traditional accountancy practice into a comprehensive business advisory firm. With over 200 team members across five major UK cities, including Manchester, London, Liverpool, Leeds, and Birmingham, Sedulo offers a wide range of services, including accountancy, banking, wealth planning and more. Paul’s extensive experience spans various sectors, including sports, media, travel, retail, recruitment, and consumer brands.

Paul’s early success in business came as a member of the management board at digital marketing agency Just Search. He later gained international experience on the board of The Online Group AB, further broadening his expertise in digital marketing. In addition to his professional achievements, Paul has been the Chairman of the children’s bereavement charity Once Upon A Smile for over a decade, helping to establish the first bereavement centre of its kind in Manchester in 2019.

At the event, Paul will share his journey, offering valuable insights into the key ingredients for business success. His story is particularly relevant to company owners aiming to grow their businesses and young professionals seeking inspiration and guidance. Paul’s experience working with high-profile clients and leading diverse management teams across industries will provide a wealth of knowledge for attendees.
