On Wednesday 18th March 2026 Downtown in Business, in collaboration with Poke, hosted a highly engaging Leaders Lunch focused on how we tell the City Region story, bringing together senior figures from across the public, private and third sectors.
We were delighted to work with partners to lead the session and explore different approaches to place marketing, with a particular focus on how cities can communicate their identity in a way that is authentic, consistent and impactful.
A clear theme throughout the discussion was the strength of collaboration. There was a shared commitment from those in the room to work collectively to shape and promote a strong, unified narrative for Liverpool, not only on a local level but across national and international audiences. With such a high calibre of leadership around the table, there is a real sense that this conversation is building momentum, with next steps already taking shape.
Encouragingly, there was strong alignment around one of Liverpool’s greatest assets, its sense of togetherness. This spirit of collaboration and partnership continues to define the city and is a powerful part of its story.
