On Wednesday the 8th May, Downtown in Business Newcastle is hosting the latest event in our highly popular and informative ‘In Conversation with’ Series.

Pam will give a talk to professionals from across various sectors in the Newcastle City region and beyond, sharing what she has learnt from her work and experiences at Newcastle City Council and looking forward towards the future of the city region.

Working for Newcastle City Council on a range of issues such as facilitating the transition to a combined authority for the region, Pam has been at the forefront of bringing opportunities to and overcoming challenges for the city.
Her position working as Chief Executive of Newcastle City Council at the centre of decisions and developments affecting the region makes her a perfect choice speak on and share her valuable insights on the most pressing issues facing the region today.

At this exclusive dinner, Pam will be reflecting on the regions recent visit to property and investment festival, MIPIM, the upcoming elections and introduction to a combined authority to the region.
Throughout her career, Pam has been passionate about people, communities and neighbourhoods. Drawing on experience worked closely with residents and colleagues from across the region to achieve the best outcomes for the people of Newcastle she will provide a unique and empowering insight into the bigger picture happening within the Newcastle Region and the challenges facing those working within it.
About the Speaker:
Pam joined Newcastle City Council as Chief Executive in January 2022 having been Chief Executive at Stockport Council since 2017 where she was also Greater Manchester’s Lead Chief Executive for ‘Age Friendly Greater Manchester’, and she continues to be the Solace lead spokesperson for Housing.
Pam was also previously chief executive at Burnley Council and has also worked for the Audit Commission.
