Downtown in Business will be hosting an exclusive round table dinner, where we will be joined by Paul Dennett, Mayor of Salford and Nic Beech, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Salford.
Paul Dennett, Salford City Mayor and Deputy Mayor for Greater Manchester, is the portfolio holder for Housing First. He served as a Strategic Assistant Mayor, with a focus on equalities and cohesion, technology and change, urban transformation and workforce issues. With a long campaign on social issues, he introduced the Salford City-Wide Equality strategy, recognising the central role which residents play in the every-day running of the communities.
Professor Nic Beech, previously Vice-Chancellor of Middlesex University, is the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Salford. He is Chair of the Quality Council for UK Higher Education, a Commissioner on the International Higher Education Commission, Treasurer and on the Board of both Universities UK and the Academy of Social Sciences and on the board of the QAA. His research focused on identity, diversity, change leadership and learning.
