Join Downtown in Business for another Leaders Lunch series in Chester, on Monday 14th of October, with Clare Hayward.

On Monday 14th October, Downtown Cheshire will host another event in our Highly Popular ‘Leaders Lunch’ event series.

Taking place in Chester, from 12pm – 2.30pm, we will be joined by Clare Hayward, Chair of the NP11.

The event will bring together DIB Members and business leaders from across the Cheshire Region to engage in valuable networking and discussion.

Topic:

Regeneration and Growth in the Cheshire region and beyond

At this event, we’ll be discussing the future of Cheshire and the latest developments within the Chester City region.

Clare is a successful business leader and entrepreneur focused on building leadership skills. She has coached, facilitated and chaired boards, senior management teams and leaders across the globe over the last 30 years working in sectors including technology, banking, and manufacturing.

Drawing on her experiences whilst serving as Chair of the NP11 (the business-led voice for the North that brings together the 11 Local Enterprise Partnerships (LEPs) from across the North of England) Clare will be sharing her unique perspectives on issues affecting the Chester region, discussing topics such as sustainability and leadership.

Claire’s position at the head of the NP11, who play a leading role in realising the vision for an economically thriving Northern Powerhouse that drives economic prosperity and inclusive growth for the benefit of all, makes her the perfect choice to speak on current trends and issues affecting towns, cities and rural communities across Chester and beyond.

As well as being Chair of NP11, Clare is also Chair of Cheshire and Warrington Local Enterprise Partnership (an organisation which brings together three local authorities to promote the growth of the Cheshire and Warrington economy through a partnership between the private and public sectors).

Drawing on her experiences working for them as Chair of the Employer Skills Board on projects such as providing advice and support for businesses through the Growth Hub; improving skills and training in partnership with schools, colleges, and the University of Chester, Clare will provide a unique and empowering insight into her vision for future of the Cheshire region, and the support needed.

Following her address, the floor will be opened to questions and discussion allowing attendees to share their views.

Benefits of Attending:

Hear Insights from an Industry Expert: In all her many roles, Clare has been a Community leader focused on improving opportunities for people and business in North West England. She is focused on assisting businesses that are either Northern, women led or focused on sustainability. Her work with NP11 allows her to be involved in partnerships across the public and private sectors, with local and national government focussing on the North’s priorities to create a positive impact on people’s lives. Be party to her invaluable insights and begin to consider the future of growth and regeneration in the Cheshire region.

Networking with Key Figures: This event is a fantastic opportunity to network and connect with not just Clare but also other influential figures in the Cheshire region. You’ll learn more about The Cheshire and Warrington Local Enterprise Partnership which sets the strategic direction for the economic development of Cheshire and Warrington, listening to the needs of businesses and communities and fostering collaboration to promote the region.
