Re-launching as Malmaison Bar & Grill from 9th March 2023, Malmaison Liverpool’s new bar and restaurant will offer an open plan dining experience with views of Princes Dock.

Food lovers listen up – Malmaison Bar & Grill will serve up serious flavour with a side of theatre with the addition of a Josper Grill. The lovechild of Josep Armangue and Pere Juli, the famous grill allows steaks, meat dishes, burgers, and fish to be cooked to perfection over charcoal. The main event will be a selection of British, grass fed, dry-aged steaks all cooked on the Josper adding the signature fiery and rich flavour Malmaison Bar & Grill is famous for.

The refreshed seasonal menu catering to meat-eaters and plant-based diners alike will pair expertly with Malmaison’s curated wine list with bouquets from around the world to suit every palette.

Signature Mal touches to the restaurant’s revamped interiors will include a bespoke flooring design tracing the course of the river Mersey, intimate booth seating, and a huge disco ball positioned in the lobby to beckon guests through to the good times that await in the Bar & Grill.

Decked out in golds, greens and reds, the luxury feel of the Bar & Grill is set against industrial nods in the form of exposed brickwork and high ceilings emboldened with a splash of colour from Liverpool themed artwork capturing the many sides of the maritime metropolis.

Floor-to-ceiling bi-fold doors link the Bar and terrace areas allowing the inside to flow onto our beautiful outdoor space. Perfect for drinks or dining and an all-day sun trap, where better to watch the sunset over the Mersey.

Malmaison Bar & Grill will seat 170 covers inside and 90 on the terrace where guests can make the best of the British weather this Spring by taking things al-fresco with seating well-positioned for waterside views that take in the buzz of Liverpool’s bustling waterfront.

Head back inside and to the sultry and sleek Liverpool Bar where guests will find mixologists crafting signature cocktails for after-dinner digestifs – or even a cheeky nightcap!

Looking for a more intimate affair? Guests can choose to dine at the chefs table, a secluded private dining room with views into the heart of the kitchen where guests can marvel at their meal being prepared right in front of them – making a meal at Malmaison Bar & Grill a truly immersive experience.
