Burnley College is offering a range of Government-funded,* expert-led, career-focussed Adult Learning Courses in January – and now’s the time to make 2022 your year for success.

It’s an opportunity to boost your existing skills, push for promotion at work, start afresh with a brand-new career or even use your new qualification to help you study at University level.

As part of the Government’s National Skills Fund, every UK adult aged over 19 without a Level 3 qualification (that’s the equivalent to an A Level or Advanced Vocational qualification) is now entitled to study for one for free – and Burnley College has a great, career-boosting choice on offer, with something for everyone.

The course available are:

  • Advanced Diploma in Accounting
  • Advanced Diploma: Counselling Skills
  • Advanced Diploma: Early Years Practitioner
  • Advanced Diploma: Leadership & Management
  • Advanced Diploma in Plumbing Foundation L3
  • Advanced Diploma: Specialist Support for Teaching & Learning in Schools
  • Advanced Welding Skills

Neil Burrows, Burnley College Assistant Principal with responsibility for Adult Learning, says:

“The National Skills Fund offers an incredible opportunity for anyone who’s got that desire, that passion to learn and that commitment to do it.

“I speak to so many Adult Learners and they always have a different story about why they’ve returned to education. Often it’s about taking that next step and making a leap forward in their career. Sometimes it’s about reskilling and returning to a new type of work. Sometimes it’s just for the love of learning and to prove they can do it.

“There’s no right or wrong reason – it’s a personal choice, but it’s always the right choice.

“Whatever your reason, now is the right time to act and take advantage of a National Skills Fund free courses if you are eligible.”

As well as National Skills Fund courses starting in January, Burnley College offers a range of additional Adult Learning courses for those aged 19 and over, including Maths and English, ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages), Modern Language and hobby courses, as well as a range of additional professional development qualifications.
