Business Health Matters (BHM) has been announced as the headline sponsor of the Lancashire Health and Wellbeing Conference 2023, which will take place on Thursday 26 January at Crow Wood Hotel in Burnley.

The brand new event designed to inform and inspire Lancashire businesses to create healthier, happier and more productive workforces.

BHM is one of the most influential organisations championing employee health and wellbeing in the region and brings a wealth of experience to the event.

The BHM programme delivers training, health checks and supportive wellbeing packages in workplaces to empower employees to improve their overall health whilst employers benefit from increased productivity within their workforces.

Adrian Leather, chief executive of Active Lancashire, said: “At Business Health Matters, we believe the health and wellbeing of employees is absolutely key to the future success and prosperity of our county.

“Being part of an event that brings together businesses who share our goal of a healthier workforce is a really exciting prospect and one we are thrilled to be associated with. As a headline sponsor we are looking forward to meeting these businesses and hearing from a range of esteemed speakers on their experiences in improving wellbeing and staff productivity within their roles.

“We’ll also be adding in some of our own tried-and-tested tips that Lancashire businesses can implement to make 2023 their healthiest year yet!”

The event will feature guest speakers and contributors including:

  • Dr Sakthi Karunanithi, the director of public health at Lancashire County Council and the face of Lancashire health during the pandemic
  • Sherry Kothari, founder and investor in health-tech businesses and former director of Lancaster University’s Health Innovation Campus
