Sedulo Group – one of the UK’s fastest-growing business advisory firms – has appointed Ben Vaux as Corporate Tax Director, based in their Leeds office.
Vaux joins Sedulo following roles at PwC and Grant Thornton, where he spent 12 and 7 years respectively, overseeing the provision of tax services across a wide variety of large and mid-size businesses including owner-managed, private equity-backed and listed groups.
His arrival follows the leadership appointment of Ross Preston as Head of Audit – North, also based in Sedulo’s Leeds office. Preston has joined Sedulo from AAB after training at PwC and spending time at other top tier firms including Deloitte and Mazars.
Vaux brings a wealth of experience providing highly bespoke tax planning advice across a range of businesses in the North and beyond. He will be based in Sedulo’s Leeds office and will work with Sarah Richards, Head of Tax, to lead Sedulo’s Corporate Tax team across the North.
Mr Vaux said:
“I’m excited to have joined Sedulo to be part of the next phase of the firm’s growth plans. I am looking forward to bringing my previous experience to bear, as Sedulo’s Corporate Tax and Tax Advisory offering continues to go from strength to strength.”
Sarah Richards, National Head of Tax at Sedulo Group added:
“I’m delighted to welcome Ben Vaux as the new Head of Corporate Tax for our Northern offices.
“Ben has an exceptional track record in helping businesses navigate the technical and commercial complexities of corporate tax, including support on acquisitions, restructuring and cross-border transactions.
“His appointment comes at a pivotal time in our growth journey, as we expand our specialist Tax team and broaden our service offering to meet increasing client demand. Ben’s expertise will be instrumental in delivering advice that’s not just technically robust, but also aligned to our clients’ long-term goals and ambitions.”
Sedulo added that this latest senior hire is part of the wider ambition to grow and refine its specialist tax capabilities, with more exciting announcements in this space set to follow.
