One of Liverpool’s most loved Café Bistros, The Watering Can, is pulling out all the stops to make this Mother’s Day something special.  Offering an exquisite 3 course set-menu, carefully designed by the team of talented Chefs,  to celebrate all amazing mums on their special day with pink fizz and nibbles on arrival as well as live music, this popular venue is sure to be top of many Mother’s Day celebrations this year.

Whether your ideal way to celebrate  is a leisurely  walk in 12 acres of beautiful parkland in Greenbank Park,  followed by a delicious feast, or a chilled-out lunch in beautiful surroundings with live music in the main restaurant courtesy of Ni Maxine, The Watering Can has put together a magical Mother’s Day package for £40 per person.

The mouth-watering menu is packed full of flavours and starters include:- Grilled scallops in their shells, with garlic and lemon butter and a herb crumb, rump steak with Café de Paris butter, pan roasted cauliflower with Moroccan hummus, pomegranate, Lombardi pepper and warm flatbread along with burrata, pistaschio pesto, cherry tomato and wholegrain crisp bread.

Main courses are equally sumptuous and include a home-made rump steak burger with maple glazed streaky bacon, red Leicester, caramelised onion and burger sauce on a toasted brioche bun, while fish lovers can enjoy a line-caught seabass fillet, tartar potato, fennel, green beans dressed with a lemon butter sauce.  Or chicken with triple cooked chips or butternut squash risotto could also tempt you. A selection of desserts will round off the culinary experience perfectly.

Owner Keith Perryman said “We are famed for our Sunday Roasts and a lot of our mums visit regularly to enjoy them.  For Mother’s Day we wanted to create something exciting with our special ladies at the heart of the day.  Our menu has everything, using local produce where we can, and we have tried to ensure that Mother’s Day at The Watering Can will be a very memorable and enjoyable one”
