Liverpool BID Company is looking for a Street Ranger to join their established BID Street Ranger Team.

For almost 20 years, Liverpool BID Company has worked at the heart of Liverpool. Delivering ambitious regeneration projects, transforming and improving the public realm, we work on behalf of our 1,000 Levy Payers to make Liverpool city centre a better place to live, work and visit. BIDs, Business Improvement Districts, were born out of a strategy to help businesses work together to improve their environment. BIDs work to ensure city centres can thrive, can attract investment, focus on placemaking and resilience.

Liverpool BID Company was originally established as a pilot scheme in 2004 as one of the first in the UK. The first in the city, Retail & Leisure (originally called City Central) was established first, quickly followed by the Commercial District BID. Now, Liverpool has an expanded BID Area, Culture & Commerce, stretching from Lime Street to the waterfront. It also covers the core retail area of the city centre, from Bold Street to Lord Street and Liverpool ONE in the Retail & Leisure BID.

Who are we looking for?

Liverpool BID Company is looking to recruit a Street Ranger in Liverpool city centre to join an established Street Ranger Team. The duties will be varied and demanding.

As a Street Ranger you will be responsible for being an ambassador for the city centre, helping to keep key central areas clean by use of cleaning equipment, helping to tidy up the general appearance of an area for example by removing graffiti, painting phone boxes/street furniture etc, engaging with and building relationships with local businesses where needed and generally helping to represent the brand on a face to face basis. You will be required to conduct yourself professionally at all times in order that your presence can reflect positively on the city.

The Street Ranger must be a positive and proactive individual who is confident working with a wide range of people and keen to make a practical difference to Liverpool city centre. You’ll have ideas on how to improve the city centre area, which you can feedback to the Supervisor and see if you can work together to see those improvements happen.
