Flagship Novotel Liverpool Paddington Village hosts special corporate showcase event

Flagship Novotel Liverpool Paddington Village hotel welcomed members of the local community with a special corporate showcase event.

Flagship Novotel Liverpool Paddington Village hotel welcomed members of the local community with a special corporate showcase event.

Based in the heart of Knowledge Quarter Liverpool, the new hotel, which opened in July this year, welcomed a host of North West business leaders and members of the local community.

Among the influential figures at the event were fundraiser and adventurer, Bernie Hollywood OBE and his Boat of Hope, and award-winning children’s author, Natalie Reeves-Billing, who performed sea shanties and read stories from her collection of books. The national Boat of Hope campaign will see Bernie embark on a 90-day solo sail from the Canaries to Antigua later this year to raise money for various causes. Other entertainment came from the amazing SingMe Choir, and a solo set from local singer Sarah Jones.

The Novotel Liverpool Paddington Village team welcomed guests from the local area to celebrate the unity between residents of the city centre community with this corporate showcase event.

Guests also had the opportunity to sample a selection of local suppliers that are available in the hotel including the likes of Laura’s Little Bakery, Bean, and Love Lane Brewery. Taittinger Champagne was also available at the event for members of the local community to enjoy.

Howard Lewis, general manager, said:

“I very much enjoyed welcoming and greeting guests from across the North West in what was a fantastic occasion as we celebrated the hotel. It is imperative that we support our local community, so to be able to welcome local business leaders and esteemed guests to this community event and show them around the hotel was something I was immeasurably proud of.

“The Knowledge Quarter Liverpool is a leading innovation district in the city, so to celebrate both the area and the hotel, which has been specifically designed with its location in mind, was an extremely  rewarding experience.”

Novotel Liverpool Paddington Village has been chosen as the flagship hotel for the new £1bn Paddington Village development. Constructed by Morgan Sindall Construction, the Liverpool City Council-owned hotel is franchised by Accor and will be managed by Legacy Hotels & Resorts on the council’s behalf. The hotel has been designed by Ryder Architecture, with Faithful+Gould acting as project managers.

Knowledge Quarter Liverpool is a world-leading innovation district at the east gateway to the city, home to some of the world’s most influential players in science, health, technology, education, music, and the creative performing arts. The hotel has been designed specifically with this in mind.
