Liverpool Convention Bureau has been leading the way on many projects. They are the only English convention bureau to be part of the Global Destination Sustainability Index which is helping drive change for good in business events in Liverpool. They are the only UK convention bureau to be a member of the Hybrid Cities Alliance – a global network of like-minded destinations collaborating for the benefit of clients hosting international events. They played an integral part in securing the Eurovision Song Contest for Liverpool through connections and strong professional relationships with local hotels and accommodation providers. They hosted the inaugural micebook Ventures which tackled difficult conversations around sustainability and innovation in the sector – and Liverpool was chosen because of the work they are already doing in the city region.
Liverpool Convention Bureau are always looking for new and innovative ways to grow business events in Liverpool and in 2022 they have been out and about at major trade shows like IBTM, IMEX Frankfurt, Confex and The Meetings Show as well as exploring opportunities in the USA at IMEX America. The team work tirelessly to ensure that Liverpool City Region is always well represented in all major industry events and strive to offer the very best service to clients to ensure the success of events taking place in our city.
Their conference ambassador programme is delivering fantastic results as well with almost 300 members and since its inception in 2015 has generated £78 million in economic impact for Liverpool City Region. Their focus for the future is on the legacy of these events and how they can ensure each conference has a positive lasting impact on the local community and environment.
