Downtown in Business, in association with the Liverpool BID Company, welcomed the daughter and granddaughter of Nelson Mandela to a special event at Hope Street Hotel earlier this week.

The discussion, led by Maki Mandela and Tukwini Mandela, focused on the work of the Mandela8 Foundation undertakes in the city, and they are encouraging business leaders from across Liverpool to get actively involved in the charity’s recently launched Roots & Wings project, which is targeted at young people who lack positive role models and are at risk of criminal exploitation or are experiencing violent crime or fear of violent crime daily.
