Downtown in Business will host a national conference exploring innovative solutions to the challenges facing the UK and global economy in the twenty-first century early next year.

So… What’s the big idea? A national business & innovation conference.

Thursday 2nd March 2023, The Spine Building, Liverpool

The inaugural DIB Business & Innovation conference will take place on Thursday 2nd March 2023, at the award-winning Spine Building in Liverpool’s Knowledge Quarter.

Leading entrepreneurs, academics, opinion formers, and politicians will offer innovative solutions to the key issues that are exercising decision-makers not just in the UK, but around the globe.

The focus of a series of short presentations from our leading keynote speakers – with an emphasis on an interactive event that will encourage comment and participation from conference delegates- will be:

– Economy & The cost-of-living crisis

– Technology

– Health

– Energy

– Climate, Net zero & the environment

– Infrastructure

– Public Services

Confirmed speakers so far include the shadow minister for health Wes Streeting MP, the mastermind of HS2 and a former advisor to Tony Blair, Gordon Brown, and Boris Johnson, Lord Andrew Adonis, the Executive Director of politics for the Tony Blair Institute, Ryan Wain, social media influencer and professional services consultant, Chrissie Wolfe, the chief executive of Liverpool’s Knowledge Quarter, Colin Sinclair, and the Director of Strategy for Bruntwood, Jessica Bowles.
