Downtown in Business is proud to be sponsoring the opening day of the Qube Liverpool International Tennis Tournament this year – with Thursday the 13th June set to become known as ‘Downtown Day’ at the event!
The three-day tennis exhibition is held annually in June as a grass court warm-up event before Wimbledon.
This year marks the 21st year of the tournament which has become one of the most anticipated events for the corporate community in Liverpool. Taking place from the 13th to 15th of June, this year’s event will once again be hosted at the Aigburth Cricket Club where it has been held to great acclaim since 2014.
Downtown is excited to have signed a deal to support the opening day of this premier sporting event organised by local sport event management, academy and marketing company Northern Vision who’s continuing and commendable mission is to combat obesity, poor mental health and antisocial behaviour in society through engaging young people in community programmes.
Since its foundation, The Qube Liverpool International Tennis Tournament and the Liverpool Junior International Tennis Tournament have certainly contributed to achieving this mission, introducing over 100,000 young people in the local area to tennis.
Downtown in Business has been working with Anders Borg, Director at Northern vision and the man behind the tournament since he first launched the event.
Downtown in Business CEO Frank Mckenna said:
