A group of 12 staff from Bolton-based Mansell Building Solutions is preparing to raise vital funds for The Christie Charity through a 15k charity hike in the Peak District.

Trailing through the Hope Valley, the trek, led by Freshwalks, will take place this Friday (26th April 2024) and is expected to take around five hours.

The team will climb from Edale up to Kinder Scout at a max elevation of 633m (2,077 ft), taking in ‘Ringing Roger’, Grindsbrook Clough and Jacob’s Ladder.

Group leader, Steve Green, is a keen walker and a director of the business. He has rallied a range of troops for this charity challenge, comprising staff at all levels, including managing director of the eponymous firm, Angela Mansell.

“The Christie is an amazing charity which has touched the lives of many of our staff,” said Steve.

“We wanted to do something that would challenge people and keep them active, too, and the scenery will provide plenty of photo opportunities, as well.

“Any donations, no matter how small, will enable this wonderful charity to keep doing its amazing work and help so many people in their time of need.”

Mansell’s hike team can be supported via their Just Giving page HERE.

Mansell Building Solutions is one of the UK’s longest established and most experienced specialist contractors, producing off-site framing and undertaking on-site finishes.
