Liam Quirk takes his commitment to the mental wellbeing of his employees a step further by adopting MindClass mental health support platform

Traditionally renowned for being a bleak month, January can pose many challenges for employees and their mental health. But Liam Quirk, Managing Director of Liverpool’s award-winning SEO agency Quirky Digital, wants to change that.

Blue Monday, (Monday 20th January 2025) has been dubbed as the most depressing day of the year, however, using his positive attitude combined with commitment to mental health for his employees, Liam, 27, has started the year by adding MindClass, a Liverpool-based mental health support platform for employers to its employee benefits.

Adopting MindClass for Quirky Digital has seen entrepreneur Liam, from New Brighton, further amplify the importance of mental health in his workforce.

Quirky Digital specialises in providing Digital PR, Content Creation and Technical SEO across various industries including healthcare, professional services, SAAS, investment, real estate, addiction and eCommerce.

MindClass, created by founder and CEO Philip Bridges, is a one-stop-shop for employees, where they can book counselling sessions, complete mental health courses, read articles and use a host of AI powered productivity and support tools.

On Blue Monday, Liam and his team are tapping into MindClass’s reframing of the most depressing day of the year and channeling positivity into something entirely new… Introducing Brew Monday! A simple and affordable way to open up conversations with employees and colleagues in the workplace.

Rather than dwell on the “blues,” mental health charity Samaritans champion Brew Monday. The idea? Replace doom and gloom with connection and compassion by encouraging people to meet up over a hot drink and a chat. It’s simple, inclusive, and a reminder that reaching out can make a world of difference.

Liam, who now has 16 members of staff and works with over 50 clients around the world, explained: “As an employer, it’s my responsibility to ensure that our team feel supported with their mental wellbeing and I strongly believe that prioritising mental health at work is not only essential for our staff but also critical for our company’s long-term success.

“To improve our mental health support for staff, we have just signed up to MindClass. This will allow our people to be supported through counselling, courses and content – enabling them to thrive both personally and professionally and I’m really proud to provide a resource that’s so knowledgeable for our team. There will be no Blue Monday at Quirky Digital, and if anyone is feeling a little down, our approach to Brew Monday will give them the space to open up the conversation and voice their thoughts and feelings.”

Philip Bridges, founder and CEO of MindClass, said: “It’s exciting to be able to support Quirky Digital – a company that takes the mental health of their employees so seriously. This Blue Monday is a great opportunity to highlight the mental health challenges people can face in the workplace and ways to support them and it’s great to see Liam and the team challenging the status quo – Let’s hope Brew Monday catches on!”
