Jo Burton has joined VWV’s impressive Real Estate Department in the Commercial Property team and will be working nationally to help develop the team.
Burton brings more than 20 years of property experience advising on commercial property transactions and has over 15 years working in the education sector. She joins VWV from Stone King where she led the Education Property team for many years and was an integral part of Stone King’s Education Sector Leadership Team.
Throughout her career, Burton has supported education clients in all aspects of estate management acting for a broad range of clients including schools in the maintained sector and FE colleges. Burton has a strong reputation within the sector for dealing with complex disposals of school playing field land to housing developers to extract capital value providing investment back into school capital build projects. These projects usually include complex overage and planning issues together with liaising with the Department for Education for consent to sell the land.

She has been recognised by The Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners which highlights her excellent reputation.
Burton’s appointment reflects VWV’s ongoing investment in growing the Bristol and Birmingham offices in Commercial Property.
