Downtown in Business kicked off the IHEEM Conference 2025 with a Breakfast Event at INNSiDE by Meliá, Manchester, hosted in partnership with Steven A. Hunt & Associates. The event brought together business leaders, healthcare professionals, and industry experts to discuss innovation, sustainability, and the future of healthcare estates in the heart of Manchester’s city centre.

The event provided a platform for open discussion and collaboration around the future of the healthcare built environment. Conversations focused on healthcare engineering, sustainable design, and innovation in estate management, reflecting the city’s growing reputation as a hub for forward-thinking business and infrastructure development.

The morning featured a distinguished line-up of speakers, including Paul Fitzpatrick from NHS University Hospitals of Liverpool Group, Andrew Rodgers from Birmingham Women’s and Children’s Hospital and Charity, Louise Jackson Zeniou from CRADLE, and Nick Peppit from Avison Young. Each speaker shared valuable insights into the challenges and opportunities shaping healthcare estates and the importance of collaboration between the public and private sectors.

In addition to the industry discussions, the event proudly supported CRADLE Charity, a national mental health charity providing essential support to anyone affected by the death of a baby during pregnancy or termination of pregnancy.

The Breakfast Event successfully set the tone for a productive IHEEM Conference 2025, reinforcing Manchester’s role as a centre for business, collaboration, and innovation in the healthcare sector.
