Downtown Boss to chair MIPIM UK showcase events

The chief executive of Downtown in Business Frank McKenna will host showcase events for the Liverpool City Region and Lancashire at the forthcoming property festival MIPIM UK.

The two-day property conference takes place this week in London on the 17th and 18th October.

On Wednesday afternoon, McKenna will facilitate a discussion with Liverpool City Region mayor Steve Rotheram, Sue Grindrod from the Royal Albert Dock and Peel’s Darren Lawless

The event will focus on the Liverpool and Wirral waters projects, the regenerated waterfront and dock, and the key development opportunities across Merseyside.

The Lancashire showcase takes place on Thursday morning, when Stephen Young from Lancashire County Council, Karen Hirst of the Eric Wright Group and the Deputy chief executive of Blackburn & Darwen Council Denise Park, will present the county’s strategic employment sites and the next phase of Enterprise Zone development.

McKenna said:

“The MIPIM UK festival is always an enjoyable event, with the delegations from Liverpool and Lancashire working hard to promote the region in a dynamic and positive way to investors from London and the international community.

“Downtown in Business is delighted to, once again, be associated with the showcase events for both Liverpool and Lancashire, and I’m sure those who attend the two-day conference will thoroughly enjoy the experience.”
