The event allowed for over 70 DIB members to meet and catchup (and discuss the previous day’s Birmingham Property Club event) with one another over a few drinks and amazing food at the spectacular Alchemist, Brindley Place.

After being greeted by a fantastic drinks’ reception, guests were then seated in preparation for a stunning 2 course meal, with delectable Vegetable Gyozas to start and Katsu Curry for the main.

Before sitting down to the amazing meal, the DIB members heard from Downtown Birmingham Chair, Paul Cadman, who thanked everyone for coming and explained a few of the upcoming plans for Downtown in 2020. Clive Reid from event sponsors VWV, then addressed the audience with a short thank you and VWV’s 2020 outlook and finally Jamil Shabir from Bootcamp Media, explained why he is an ambassador for Birmingham St Mary’s Hospice.

Abby Goldie, Head of Business Support for Downtown Birmingham commented; “It was amazing to see so many people at today’s event. Although there was no set topic of conversation, it was great to see plenty of business being done on a dreary Friday afternoon in January. It shows the amazing committed to that the leading business personalities have to making 2020 a fantastic year for Birmingham and the wider region.

“I’d like to thank VWV for sponsoring today’s lunch and of course The Alchemist, Brindley Place for the exceptional hospitality.”
