Downtown in Business hosted its 20th anniversary at a jam packed party on Thursday 22nd June 2023 at the magnificent Malmaison Hotel, Liverpool.
Over 100 Downtown in Business members and leading business personalities enjoyed a night of food, drink and networking along with entertainment from Alan Cross, from Science and Technology Facilities Council (donning his crooner persona for the evening) a DJ set from Qube Residential boss, Dave Seed, and a Sexy Sax performance from John Boy.
Reflecting on twenty years of DIB, CEO Frank Mckenna commented; “It was fantastic to see so many faces old and new celebrating two decades of Downtown in Business.
“Whilst I am personally delighted of course, I’m incredibly proud of the Downtown business community who have been there with us since our launch at the very first ‘Livercool’ awards back in 2003.
“Celebrating 20 years of Downtown in Business, isn’t just an achievement for myself and the Downtown team but for the thousands of businesses and business leaders we have worked with across the country during that time.
“I would like to say a massive thank you to anyone who has contributed to DIB in anyway – as a sponsor, partner, member, or just someone who has attended one of our awards events. From the early days and the infamous ‘sexy networking’ events, through to the influential conferences, parliamentary receptions, and roundtable discussions we host today, it has been some journey.
“To be in nine locations now- Liverpool, Lancashire, Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham, Cheshire, Wolverhampton, Newcastle and London – is a terrific achievement. Here’s to the next twenty years, and the next nine locations!”
