Downtown in Business will host an exclusive parliamentary reception in association with Leeds and Manchester City Councils.

The Westminster event will take place on Monday 29th January 2024 at the stunning Terrace Pavilion at the House of Commons, between 1pm-4pm. 

The event will focus on the importance of cities as drivers of economic growth and feature presentations from the Leaders of Leeds and Manchester, Cllr James Lewis and Cllr Bev Craig, and the cities chief executives, Tom Riordan, and Joanne Roney.

Senior parliamentarians from West Yorkshire and Greater Manchester will be in attendance, along with cabinet and shadow cabinet Ministers.

There will be drinks and refreshments served before and after the presentations, with a good opportunity to meet and network with business leaders, MPs, and Lords from across the country.

PLEASE NOTE, DUE TO THE ANTICIPATED DEMAND FOR TICKETS, COMPANIES ARE LIMITED TO A MAXIMUM OF TWO PLACES.

Leading electrical retailer AO chooses Bruntwood SciTech’s innovation hub 111 Piccadilly for city centre creative hub

Bruntwood SciTech is announcing that the UK’s leading electrical retailer, AO, has chosen 111 Piccadilly for its new Manchester city centre creative hub.

The firm will take the entire 15th floor, providing a fully fitted and furnished workspace for its creative department, comprising animators, production staff and graphic designers. By relocating to 111 Piccadilly, AO will gain direct collaboration and networking opportunities with other like-minded tech businesses already based at the building, including the likes of national EV charging network Be.EV and payment solutions software provider, Total Processing.
