Downtown in Business is supporting an innovative business leadership programme in Liverpool, and is urging business owners to get involved in the project.
DIB group chair and chief executive Frank McKenna said:
“This is the most exciting business support project I have seen delivered in the Liverpool City Region. It is not about ticking boxes, or securing a few bob in grants- it is offering business owners a genuine opportunity of honing their leadership skills and sharing their experiences with their peers.”
Novel brings together Liverpool City Region’s leading small and medium-sized business leaders to join a radical new programme. It’s designed to transform the capabilities and ambitions of the city region to grow through innovation.
Novel is not a leadership programme. It is an innovation programme designed for leaders in business and local government, building, scaling, and empowering the companies that will create prosperity and foster growth through innovation over the next decade.
Novel brings international speakers, authors, investors, entrepreneurs and thought leaders to our city region to work with a select cohort of business owners and directors to scale our ambitions.
Participants will have the opportunity to join three in-person residential sessions in January, February and March 2025. We’ll also invite you and your nominated best and brightest rising stars to join our Peer Network.
Novel aims to convene, inspire and enable the next generation of innovation leaders in the city region. It will help business leaders develop and fulfil their visions for innovation and growth, alongside like-minded peers.
At the heart of Novel are those entrepreneurs and SME leaders who will be central to job creation, business growth, and wealth generation. You are the people committed to ensuring a prosperous future for our children, communities and country.
Uniquely, Novel will connect our business leaders with innovators and influential leaders from local and national government. We will partner with public sector leaders to foster new understanding, insight and partnership, bringing a collective voice and vision that helps the UK government make the best decisions for businesses to deliver growth.
Applications for nomination to join Novel – and our three-month innovation programme – are now open.
Novel is delivered as part of the Horizons Programme and is funded by the UK Government under the Shared Prosperity Fund. We are inviting nominations from our region’s leading SMEs to join us for the start of the movement.
Join us. It’s time to change the story.
