Multi award-winning SKV Communications has been selected to promote the inaugural Manchester Eats food festival. The event, to be held in Heaton Park on the 7th and 8th July, has been created to celebrate the city’s food establishments and the North West’s food heritage.
The outdoor weekender will feature signature restaurants, craft beers, creative cocktails, a gin garden and some of the UK’s tastiest street-food alongside a vibrant, interactive kid’s village, acoustic performances, craft workshops, free-from alternatives together with fine, fresh ingredients for foodies to sample & purchase.
Manchester Eats is being organised by events company SK Events, which created and has run the Liverpool Food and Drink Festival in Sefton Park for the last 11 years and which also manages the Liverpool Spring Festival. Its expansion into Manchester was a logical next step for founder and director, Denise Harris who has a strong track record in creating and managing food events and had been asked by clients and contacts to stage an activity in Manchester where the foodie scene is vibrant.
Denise says. “We have partnered up with a great team at SKV Communications who have an established network of influencer and media contacts to ensure this summertime festival is a huge success. Their creative ideas and unrivalled network of contacts ensure it will be a major talking point in the city’s summer calendar.”
Geraldine Vesey, Director of SKV Communications, adds “We have inputted a whole host of ideas that will ensure Manchester Eats has a strong social and traditional media presence to generate visits. We’ll be running the press office and ensuring influencers and journalists, alongside foodies, families and people looking for a fun weekend, have a great experience at this first event.”
