At 53 Degrees Liverpool You’ll Find Berry Street’s Newest Hang Out

Map coordinates provided the inspiration for the freshest offering on Liverpool’s nightlife scene. 53 Degrees sits on Berry Street, at precisely 53 degrees north, and following the launch on Saturday 22nd September the destination will now have its doors open seven days a week.

Combining the best in Italian street food with a bar menu designed by consultants from Bacardi and Grey Goose, the stylish bar and eatery is a welcome addition to the already booming Ropewalks area of the city.

Serving food from 4pm weekdays and 12 noon at the weekend, 53 Degrees has some sought after guest chefs manning the kitchens between now and Christmas. The team behind Izakaya, as well as a growing number of other outlets in popular locations including the Baltic Market and Dockside Dining Club, have launched their spin on Italian street food at 53 Degrees. Caprese at 53 Degrees hit the ground running with a sold out Sunday night Supper Club in the venue’s first week.

The Sunday Supper Club is just one of 53’s signature events. At £30 for three plates per person and unlimited drinks for the duration of a 90 minute sitting, the first week’s event sold out way before the venue’s launch and week two is filling up fast.

General Manager Shaun Royden said:

“We have launched with a full programme of great events that takes us right up to Christmas. It’s been proving popular since before we opened our doors for the first time! It is our soft launch weekend followed by a sell out Supper Club on Sunday. We’ll be building on that every week from now on.

“On Sundays people will show up for the food and bottomless drinks but they’ll stay for the DJs. We’ve got big names booked to play every week from 10pm, just as everyone finishes dining and is ready to dance off their dinners! We’ll host Lee Butler on 7th October, Anton Powers on 28th and some other amazing acts in between.

“Our site was home to a well known Italian restaurant and bar for a long time, so we’ve honoured that heritage and built on it by adding our own modern twist, with a wide ranging bar menu, a slick interior and a sheltered, outdoor section available for private parties. Our team, along with the Caprese kitchen team, is working hard to provide an experience that goes beyond what is available elsewhere.”

The 53 Degrees team is focusing on quality and leaving nothing to chance, even booking big name international DJs to pack out Saturday nights. Amongst others, Julie McKnight will fly in late October especially for a one off set.

A private back room, titled The Pirch, is available for private hire, inclusive of a roofed outdoor terrace.
