Iconic Canadian Café and Bake Shop chain, Tim Hortons®, is set to arrive in Birmingham in the coming weeks, giving Brummies and the Midlands community the chance to enjoy Canada’s favourite coffee*.
Located on the busy corner of New Street and Lower Temple Street, the Birmingham location will be the first Tim Hortons® Restaurant to open in the Midlands.
Who is Tim Hortons® you may ask? The Tim Hortons® brand was founded in 1964 by its namesake, a top professional ice hockey player, who wanted to create a space where everyone would feel at home. Fast forward to 2018 and nearly eight out of 10 cups* of coffee sold across Canada are served at Tim Hortons® restaurants and more than 5.3 million Canadians – approximately 15 per cent of the population – visit the café daily.
As well as its signature brewed coffee, Canada’s much loved café and bake shop is renowned for its unique French Vanilla and Iced Capp® beverages, a wide range of classic baked goods and of course, Timbits®, their famously delicious bite-sized doughnuts.
For something with a bit more sustenance there will be a range of light and hearty breakfast options, well as a variety of lunch items such as sandwiches, wraps, paninis and toasties. All made-to-order using quality ingredients.
The first Tim Hortons® in the U.K. opened its doors in Glasgow in June 2017 to huge fanfare, with fans travelling from across the country and queuing overnight to sample the Brand’s famed coffee and baked goods. As Tim Hortons® rolls out nationwide, a further 17 restaurants are now serving guests in and around Glasgow, Cardiff, Manchester and Belfast with excitement levels showing no signs of dropping.
