After a phenomenal growth period, Leeds-based app development specialist, Pocketworks, has added another member to its team.
Leeds native Alex Logan joins as iOS developer from Surge in Newcastle upon Tyne, bringing with him more than two years experience in iPhone and iPad app development and a degree in Computer Science from Newcastle University.
A self-proclaimed Apple obsessive, he specialises in iOS products and has previously created apps for clients across a variety of industries including health and food service.
He joins Pocketworks during an exciting period of growth for the company; it is on course to hit the £1 million annual revenue mark for the first time this year and has recently won more new business in the construction, sport and hospitality sectors.
Alex explained: ‘I’m so excited to return to Leeds to join Pocketworks. The city has an incredible atmosphere with so much going on and the tech scene is absolutely thriving so it’s the perfect time to come home.
“I always said I’d come back for the right thing and when the role at Pocketworks came up it all fell into place. I wanted to work with a business that really cares about the apps it makes and the people it makes them for, which is exactly what Pocketworks is about. After my first call with the guys here I knew I wanted to see my face on their team website page, and now it is! It’s an exciting time for the company, I’m so pleased I get to be a part of it.”
