If you want to go a lighter shade of blonde, but you’ve moved on from platinum, then try Autumn/Winter ‘19’s hot new Scandi-lous Blonde: it’s every bit as striking as platinum (and equally as high maintenance), but it’s far more on trend this season. Prada’s Autumn/Winter ’19 show is a great fashion reference – models stormed the runway with plaited hair so starkly blonde and icy, it looked straight from the set of Game of Thrones. For more inspiration check out true Scandinavian blondes on Instagram – influencers attending Stockholm and Copenhagen Fashion Weeks are a good place to start – and Russian model Sasha Luss.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” column_border_radius=”none” width=”1/4″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][image_with_animation image_url=”42415″ alignment=”center” animation=”Fade In” img_link_large=”yes” border_radius=”none” box_shadow=”none” max_width=”100%”][/vc_column][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” column_border_radius=”none” width=”1/4″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][image_with_animation image_url=”42418″ alignment=”center” animation=”Fade In” img_link_large=”yes” border_radius=”none” box_shadow=”none” max_width=”100%”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″ shape_divider_position=”bottom”][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” column_border_radius=”none” width=”1/4″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][image_with_animation image_url=”42420″ alignment=”center” animation=”Fade In” img_link_large=”yes” border_radius=”none” box_shadow=”none” max_width=”100%”][/vc_column][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” column_border_radius=”none” width=”1/4″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][image_with_animation image_url=”42421″ alignment=”center” animation=”Fade In” img_link_large=”yes” border_radius=”none” box_shadow=”none” max_width=”100%”][/vc_column][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” column_border_radius=”none” width=”2/4″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][vc_column_text]COLOUR CLOUDS
More of a technique than a specific colour, Colour Clouds were first spotted at Mary Katrantzou’s Autumn/Winter ’19 show, with the method soon labelled the hottest hair colour trend of the season by beauty editors across the capital. An evolution of the pastel trend that seems to have been around for some time now, the look involves creating blurred out sections of bold colour, for a softened appearance and wistful finish. To recreate the trend, focus on using intense colour, blurring and blending it out at the ends of the hair. Use sponges and fingers, as our Westrow Colour Mixologists do, to smudge the colour and create that unique blurred effect. Opt for a whimsical palette of sea green, sky blue, sunset coral – think shades created by nature – and keep the colour application to the inner sections of the hair only, so colour just peeks through in a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it manner. The colour cloud trend is reflected beautifully in Westrow’s Ethereal collection (pictured top left), with its earthy, natural tones that are blended to contrast with soft, muted pastel shades providing a surprise burst of colour from within the hair. The bold colour sections within Westrow’s Silent Fusion collection are another great example of ‘conceal and reveal’ colour application, with bold colour hidden in the depths of contrasting pastel bases, to create an intricate, creamy, dreamy finish.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″ shape_divider_position=”bottom”][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” column_border_radius=”none” width=”2/4″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][vc_column_text]HEAVY METAL
This season’s hottest metal? Copper, if Michael Kors’ latest show – plus the recent throng of celebrities reaching for the copper tint – are anything to judge by. Jessica Chastain and Emma Stone wear this colour beautifully, playing up the natural warmth in their own off-red locks, and Sophie Turner shows that even natural blondes can pull off a copper transformation. For clients wanting to try out the beautiful pinkish-orange tones of copper without the full-on effect, play around with depth and give them a bespoke shade that complements skintone, eye colour, brow colour and the natural tones within their hair, similar to the muted apricot tones in our Ethereal collection (pictured).[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” column_border_radius=”none” width=”1/4″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][image_with_animation image_url=”42423″ alignment=”center” animation=”Fade In” img_link_large=”yes” border_radius=”none” box_shadow=”none” max_width=”100%”][/vc_column][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” column_border_radius=”none” width=”1/4″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][image_with_animation image_url=”42422″ alignment=”center” animation=”Fade In” img_link_large=”yes” border_radius=”none” box_shadow=”none” max_width=”100%”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″ shape_divider_position=”bottom”][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” column_border_radius=”none” width=”1/4″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][image_with_animation image_url=”42427″ alignment=”center” animation=”Fade In” img_link_large=”yes” border_radius=”none” box_shadow=”none” max_width=”100%”][/vc_column][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” column_border_radius=”none” width=”3/4″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][vc_column_text]CHERRY POPPING
If your client is looking to make a bold colour statement this season, then look no further than Anna Sui for inspiration. Wigs were used to nail the intensity of cherry red, with a shine and vibrancy so synthetic looking and intense, it commands attention. We created a similar shade for the Westrow Silent Fusion collection (pictured) and predict lots of requests over the new season, however there’s no denying that the beauty of this colour lies in its concentration – something that is easily faded after a few washes. Whenever we create this colour in-salon we recommend clients take home Revlon Professional Nutri Color Crème, so their vibrant cherry colour stays looking red hot for longer. Wallflowers need not apply.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
